Become a Village Voting Ambassador
Be the person in your village people can ask about voting. Tell us who you are and where you're from, and we'll be in touch as this work is funded and scheduled. Strictly nonpartisan, always.
What an Ambassador does
Voting in rural Alaska takes more explaining than it should. Ambassadors are the local, trusted, nonpartisan answer to “how do I actually do this?”
- Explain how to vote by mail, and help neighbors request an absentee ballot
- Point people to where and when they can vote in person
- Help community members check or update their voter registration
- Share nonpartisan voting information at community events and gathering places
This is an interest form, not an application. There's no deadline and nothing to prepare. We're building a list of people who want this work so we can reach the right communities first as the role is funded.
Strictly nonpartisan. Ambassadors help people with the process of voting — never with candidates, parties, or ballot measures. If someone asks who to vote for, point them to aknativevote.com instead of giving a personal recommendation.
